Frieda Sue (Whitledge) Sumrall

Frieda Sue (Whitledge) Sumrall, age 74, of Evansville, IN passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Brickyard Healthcare – Woodlands Care Center.

Frieda was born January 21, 1951 in Evansville, IN, to Fred and Martha (Madison) Whitledge. She worked in retail management for several years. Frieda had a zest for life. She was a fun, outgoing people person. Frieda loved jewelry and makeup and especially loved going to yard sales, dancing, cars, and racing cars.

Frieda is survived by her sons, John Sumrall (Tammie) and Howell Sumrall; sister-in-law, Grace Toone (Jim); sisters, Jackie Mabrey (Terry) and Donna Williams; brother, Mikey Whitledge (Stacey); brother-in-law, Howell Pete Sumrall (Debbie); 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Frieda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert “Rho” Sumrall; youngest son, Daniel Sumrall; brothers, Johnny Whitledge and Ronnie Whitledge; and brother-in-law, Tony Williams.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be Private.
