Garvin Lamb Obituary

Garvin Verle Lamb, 79, of Evansville, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital of complications of cancer.

He retired in 1983 as an en­gineer with Freeze Dry Prod­ucts. He had worked as a cut stone contractor in Gary, Ind., and was a woodworking crafts­man.

He was a World War II Army veteran, receiving a Bronze Star and was a member of American Legion Post 265.

He was a member of the East- view Community Nazarene Church and Gideons Internation­al.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Betty (Beach); a daughter, Donna Maglinger of Indepen­dence, Mo.; a son, James of Evansville; five grandchildren, Rob, Ryan and Randy Maglinger and Chad and Sarah Lamb; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eastview Communi­ty Church of the Nazarene, the Revs. Bill L. Reed and David Ed­wards officiating, with burial in Tupman Cemetery, with mili­tary rites.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
