Gary Lee Edwards

Gary Lee Edwards, age 77, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023, at his home.

Gary was born May 8, 1946, in Kentucky, to Carroll Lee and Laura Bess Edwards. He graduated from North High School in 1965. After graduation, Gary went on to work as an Engineer for CSX Railroad until his retirement. Gary loved boating and spending time at the river camp.

Gary is survived by his lifelong friends, Sharon Higgs, Tim Nellis, Mike and Tammy Koch.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Laura Edwards; son, Michael; one sister; and a special Aunt and Uncle that he loved dearly.

A special Thank You to the Nutt Family for their compassion and support helping Gary. And a special Thank You to Bill Long for all of his help during this difficult time.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00p.m., Monday, August 28, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating. Entombment will be in Locust Hill Mausoleum.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
