George Lemmer Obituary

George R. Lemmer, 87, of Evansville, died Sunday, Aug. 12,2001, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

He retired in 1978 from Southerland Mattress Co., was a World War II Army veteran, a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a golfer.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Lucille (Luhring); a brother, William of Picqua, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, continuing at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Rev. Jean Vogler officiating, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, with military rites.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to his church or a favorite charity.
