George Richard Stogsdill

George Richard Stogsdill, age 54, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at home.

George was born November 11, 1968, in Evansville, IN, to Eugene H. “Gene” Stogsdill and Linda (Morehead) Stogsdill. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1986 and attended the University of Southern Indiana. George worked as a flooring installer for Benny’s Flooring. He enjoyed playing ping-pong, painting, and going to horse races.

George is survived by his father, Gene Stogsdill; sisters, Shannon Stogsdill, Sherry Page (Gerald), and Lori Claybrooks; brothers, Benny DeTalente (Brenda), Herb Stogsdill (Carol), and Hugh Stogsdill (Pam); many nieces and nephews; and dog, Speck.

George is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Stogsdill, who passed away in 2017; sister, Elaine Baker; and brother, Michael Lee Stogsdill.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Dave Schwambach officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, IN.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
