Georgeann Bell

Georgeann Bell, age 90, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday May 24, 2024, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Georgeann was born October 30, 1933, in St. Francisville, IL, to Howard E. and Corrine (Trotter) Bell. She graduated from St. Francisville High School in 1951. She attended Eastern Illinois University and graduated in 1955. Georgeann loved her family. She enjoyed talking to anyone/everyone and being active all the time. She loved her flowers and had the greenest thumb!

Georgeann was a flight hostess with TWA for 48 years, then completed her career 2 years with American Airlines retired her wings October 30, 2004. Georgeann’s career took her around the world multiple times as an attendant of First Class. Georgeann met many dignitaries, celebrities, astronauts, and was on flight with 7 presidential candidates. Georgeann was loved by many and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Georgeann is survived by her sisters, Inez Waddle and Alice Metcalf (Bob); sister-in -law, Carolyn Bell; nieces and nephews, Artie Bell (Pat), Tom Fleenor (Tracy), Cathy Raber (Mike), Susan Maier (Doug), and Keith Metcalf (Stacey); and many great nieces and nephews.

Georgeann is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Corrine Bell; brother, Harry Bell; nephew, Andrew Bell; and brothers-in-laws, Paul Fleenor Jr. and Barry Waddle.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN. A private burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mount Carmel, IL.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
