Gerald Thomas “Thom” Embry Sr., 66, of Evansville, died at 1:30 a.m. yesterday at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Mr. Embry was a self-employed salesman, and he attended Trinity Wesleyan Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Thomas Embry Jr.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Rocky Smith, whom he lived with in Evansville; another daughter, Linda Gale Embry of Evansville; a son, Tommy Embry of Evansville; sisters, Christine Starks of Evansville and Virginia Hughes of Seattle, Wash.; brothers, Gene and Bobby Embry, both of Evansville; seven grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and a close friend, Violet Clark.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Boone Funeral Home — 5330 Washington Ave., with the Rev. Karl Crowe officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. tomorrow and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel. .
The family said friends, if they wish, may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
