Glenn Jones

Glenn Jones, age 79, of Newburgh, IN, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 8th surrounded by his family.

Born December 8, 1943, he was the son of the late Verbal and Ella Jones of Sebree, KY. He graduated from Sebree High School in 1961. Glenn was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. Glenn retired from Creative Press Inc. after 46 years of service, followed by 8 years at Oakhill Pharmacy and lastly 6 years at Menards, where he thoroughly enjoyed his job and especially his co-workers. Glenn enjoyed his vegetable garden and giving tomatoes to friends and family, sharing Christian devotional tracks and lifesavers candy with anyone he encountered.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gerri Jones; daughter, Stacy Luedke and son-in-law, Dan Luedke of Carmel, IN; son, Jeffrey Jones and daughter-in-law, Alison Jones of San Diego, CA; granddaughter, Amber Gahimer and grandson-in-law, Jeremy Gahimer of Greenwood, IN; granddaughter, Britney Luedke of Salt Lake City, UT; granddaughter, Ella Jones and grandson, Dylan Jones both of San Diego, CA.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Rusty Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2023, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, February 17, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
