Guy E. Tyler

Guy E. Tyler, age 70, of Canton, IL, formerly of Evansville, IN, passed away at 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Sunset Manor in Canton, IL.

Guy was born November 18, 1950, in Evansville, IN to John H. and Miranda (Carney) Tyler. He attended Central High School and retired from Escalade Sports in 2015 after working as a lift truck operator or 42 years. Guy enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and watching football.

Guy is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Steele (Brandan); sisters, Norma Sue Guinn (Don), Linda Galloway (James), and Brenda Arans (Arlyn); brother, John Tyler (Beverly); grandchildren, Nicholas Tuner, Cole Hammers, RaeLee Wilson, Sierra Steele, and Shyann Steele; step grandchildren, Victoria Crack and Jennifer Crack; and great grandchildren, Calista Turner, Chase Turner, and Ansley Adcock.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 16 years, Mary Ann (Jarboe) Tyler, who passed away in 2001; sister, Winnie Sadivey; brother, Russell Tyler; niece, Theresa Schultz; and nephew, Jay Tyler.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville.
