Heather (Wise) Boyles, age 53, of Evansville, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 12, 2026, of natural causes.
Heather grew up on her family’s farm outside Lynn, Indiana with her parents, three brothers, and various dogs, cats, cows, pigs, chickens, and rabbits. She won top awards for showing goats and for her Weeds Projects at the Randolph County 4-H Fair. Heather was a stellar student at Randolph Southern Schools where her English academic team won a state championship and she was senior class valedictorian. She was active in her church youth group where she sold pickles to raise money and helped repair houses for families in need around the Midwest. Heather earned her Bachelor's Degree in English from Anderson University. She spent most of her adult life representing the Wise clan in Evansville, Indiana and reporting back to the family on local weather conditions. In her career she wrangled computer software and hardware with, we assume based on her background, some amount of literary flourish. Heather made the most delicious treats for holiday gatherings, including old family traditions like parmesan potatoes, and chocolate covered Ritz peanut butter crackers, and creating new ones like bacon wrapped shrimp and homemade snicker bars. Heather loved to read to her nieces and nephews when they were small, and would select a book for each of them as a gift every Christmas.
She is survived by her brother, Brian Wise (Brenda) and their children Bailee, Hunter, and Tanner; brother, Bradley Wise (Elaine); and brother, Brandon Wise (Carly) and their children Finn, Renner, and Ephraim.
Heather was preceded in death by her mother, Carol (Grimme) Wise, and her father, Keith Wise.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Spartanburg Christian Church, 6714 E 700 S, Lynn, IN 47355. Graveside Service will follow at Spartanburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to: The American Cancer Society or The Basser Center for BRCA.
