Helen (McCarty) Cullum, 71, of Evansville, died Monday,May 8, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of cancer.
She worked as a controller with Woll Enterprises.
She was past board member of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and the Guild, and past president of Tri-State Desk and Derrick Association.
She was a member and former deacon of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
She was a booster of Memorial High School football, basketball and baseball, the Notre Dame fencing team and the Purdue football team and a past booster of Harrison High School football,
track and cross country teams and Amateur Athletic Union swimming in Indiana.
Surviving are her daughter, Becky Meador-of Evansville; two sons, Guy Wayne Price of New Harmony, Ind., and Thomas D. Cullum of Evansville; a sister, Doris Reynolds of New Harmony; nine grandchildren, Jason, Amanda and Zach Cullum, Nikki and Courtney Price, Richard and Angie Bennett, Codi Parker and Donnie Austin; two greatgrandchildren; a friend who cared for her, Herb Reynolds of Stewartsville, Ind.; and a niece and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, Jason Cullum officiating, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery in New Harmony.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
