Helen (Parmer) Williams

Helen (Parmer) Williams, 74, of Evansville, died at 1:50 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Medi­cal Center.

Mrs. Williams worked in the offices of Deaconess Hospital, and retired in 1985 after 18 years of service.

She was a member of Bethle­hem United Church of Christ and was secretary and treasurer of it’s Quilters Club.

She was a 50-year member and past matron of the Poseyville Eastern Star No. 394.

She enjoyed cooking, quilt­ing and crocheting. Mrs. Wil­liams also enjoyed sewing and donating many of her work to church programs, neighbors and friends.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, George A.; sons, Dr. Bruce Williams , of Evansville, and George Mont Williams, Chi­cago, Illinois.; a sister, Dorothy Keener of Odessa, Texas; a brother, Ivian Arwood Parmer of Abilene, Texas; and grand­children, Elizabeth Ann and Brent Drew Williams.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home — 5330 Washington Ave., with the Rev. John Iliff officiating. Burial will be in Saulmon Ceme­tery in Posey County. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. tomor­row at the funeral home, where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. by Eastern Star No. 394
