Helen (Parmer) Williams, 74, of Evansville, died at 1:50 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Mrs. Williams worked in the offices of Deaconess Hospital, and retired in 1985 after 18 years of service.
She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ and was secretary and treasurer of it’s Quilters Club.
She was a 50-year member and past matron of the Poseyville Eastern Star No. 394.
She enjoyed cooking, quilting and crocheting. Mrs. Williams also enjoyed sewing and donating many of her work to church programs, neighbors and friends.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, George A.; sons, Dr. Bruce Williams , of Evansville, and George Mont Williams, Chicago, Illinois.; a sister, Dorothy Keener of Odessa, Texas; a brother, Ivian Arwood Parmer of Abilene, Texas; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann and Brent Drew Williams.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home — 5330 Washington Ave., with the Rev. John Iliff officiating. Burial will be in Saulmon Cemetery in Posey County. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home, where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. by Eastern Star No. 394
