Helen "Patty" Williams Obituary

Helen “Patty” (Chitty) Williams, age 89, of Evansville, IN, passed peacefully on the morning of Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Patty was born April 26, 1931, in Paris, IL, to Hollis Chitty and Chloe (Bilyew) Chitty. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1949 and worked as a secretary at State Farm prior to starting her family. Patty was a charter member of East Side Baptist Church and later, American Baptist East, currently known as Embrace Church. She served faithfully as a Moderator, Sunday School Teacher and sang 25 years in the church choir.

Patty is survived by her sons, Kenneth “Ken” Schulz (Pattie), James “Jim” Williams (Ronda), Steven “Steve” Williams (Patti) and David Williams (Myra); sister, Shirley Hawkins (Bob); nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, Donald R. Williams in 2011 and sister Janette Myers in 2014.

Funeral Services will be private.
