On October 3rd, 2020, Hilbert Darrel Embry, fondly known as Jabo, joined his beloved wife of 60 years, Sharon Embry and their daughter Pamela.
Darrel was born on February 15, 1936 to Anna Louise Young and Hobert Embry. He served in the United States Airforce from 1953 to 1957. In May, 1957 he married Sharon Archer.
Darrel retired from the United States Corps of Engineers as a Dam Master. His greatest love in life was his family. He also loved to garden, fish, cook, and spend time with others on his front porch. Darrel will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his daughters, LaDonna Boals, Anna Meeler (Mark); 7 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Darrel is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 60 years, Sharon Embry; and daughter, Pamela Embry; brothers, Bob Embry and Maurice Embry; half-brother, Walter Lee Embry.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Rob Baggett officiating.
