Hilda A. Austin, 87, of Evansville, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at Good Samaritan Home.
She had worked at the Evansville Shipyards and in the laundry department at the Evansville State Hospital. She was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ and enjoyed quilting.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law who cared for her, Philip N. and Sharon Austin of Evansville; a sister, Louise Tucker of Evansville; two brother, Roland and George Jones, both of Evansville; three grandchildren, Debra A. Day, Steven Austin and Phyllis Warren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Wayne T. Austin, died in 1981.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, Stephen Rogers and Carl Goad officiating, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
