Horst zum Eschenhoff

Horst zum Eschenboff, 65, of Newburgh, died at 8:31 a.m. today at Woodland Convales­cent Center.

Mr. Eschenhoff was born in Hannover Germany, and gradu­ated in 1957 from Hannover En­gineering School as a mechani­cal and welding engineer.

He spent one year as an ex­change student at Case Western Reserve University in Cleve­land, Ohio, and retired in 1993 as vice president from Hoprich Co,, in Evansville.

Mr. Eschenhoff, a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, was a Kentucky Colonel and a Bona Fide Cowboy of Big Wyoming.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Ingelore; a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and J.D. Guinn of Zionsville, Ind.; his mother, Kaethe zum Eschen­hoff of Bueckeburg, Germany; a sister-in-law and brother-in- law, Eva Maria and Karl Acker­man of Bad Eilsen, Germany.

Services will be at 10 a m. Saturday at Boone Funeral Home — East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave. Evansville, IN, with the Rev. Joseph Cun­ningham officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Germany.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
