Ina L. (Boothe) Batton

Ina L. (Boothe) Batton, age 97, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 8:16 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital.

Ina was born August 25, 1922, in Terre Haute, IN, to William H. Boothe and Rosetta (Woodruff) Boothe. She served in the Women’s Army Corps during WWII for the Panama Canal Department. She enjoyed music and dancing.

Ina is survived by her grandchildren, Jodie Smith (Donald), Jamie Batton and Shawn Davis; and great grandson, Jordan Phillips; friends, Judy Stiles and Donna Marshall.

Ina is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Michael Batton and James Batton; daughter in-law, Jeannie Batton; siblings, William “Bill” H. Boothe Jr., Leroy Boothe, Veneta Amerman, and Betty White.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
