Jacob Nelson Cross

Jacob Nelson Cross, age 37, of Newburgh, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at his home.

Jacob was born November 27, 1983, in Evansville, IN, to Steven Cross and Karen Smith (Spears). He attended Castle High School and Boonville High School. Jacob enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children. His many hobbies included, arrow head hunting, mushroom hunting, fishing, traveling, listening to music, going to concerts and hanging out with his friends. He was loved dearly and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Jacob is survived by his mother, Karen Smith; daughters, Abigail Cross, Savannah Cross; sons, Jensen Cross and Fletcher Cross sisters, Melissa Cross (Mark), Jennifer Lamb (Wayne); JeanAnn Cross; and his first love, Aubrey Adams; grandmother, Dorothy Crick; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; best friends, Nathan Anderson and Adam Alderson and many other dear friends.

Jacob is preceded in death by his father, Steven Cross; grandparents, George Cross, and Kenneth & Helen Spears.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
