Jacqueline Murphy Obituary

Jacqueline Louise (Willett) Murphy, age 77, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Jacqueline was born December 14, 1946, in Evansville, IN, to Carl and Helen (Langton) Willett. She was a proud graduate of Central High School, Class of 1965, and she attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was a long-time factory worker for many years, working for General Foods until they closed their doors in 1990.

Jacqueline was a dedicated mother and grandmother, whose family was the center of her life. Jacqueline had a compassionate spirit and showed her endless love and kindness by providing meals to her neighbors. Her selflessness was a gift to all who knew her. She found joy in her weekly card league and bowling leagues, where she created lasting memories with friends and family. Her warm heart and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jacqueline is survived by her two daughters, Tracy Morgan Smith (Troy) and Stacy Morgan Kaine; two step daughters, Tracy Murphy and Kelly Murphy Perkins. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Joshua Smith, Austin Kaine, Brittany Murphy Burton (Darius), Lyndsey Murphy, Kelsey Murphy and Cameron Perkins and great grandchildren, Vera Burton, Maya Burton, and Oaklynn Smith. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Frasier; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Jacqueline is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Helen Willett; beloved husband of 45 years, George E. “Eddie” Murphy, who passed away in 2015; first husband, Ronnie Morgan, who passed away in 1968; siblings, Marilyn Schuler, Carl Willett, Jr., and Michael Willett; step daughter, Kristy Murphy Gatherings.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 18, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, with Father Ted Tempel and Pastor Troy Smith officiating. Entombment will be Private in Park Lawn Mausoleum.

Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time, Friday, October 18, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
