James A. Eastwood, age 83, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025, at Walnut Creek.
James was born March 8, 1942, in Evansville, IN, to James Kyle Eastwood and Villa Mae (Collins) Crenshaw. He graduated from North High School in 1960. James proudly served his country in the United States Navy where he retired after 20 years. He then worked in civil service until his retirement in 2008. James was a member of the NRA and enjoyed riding his Harley.
James is survived by his daughters, Cheryl L. Yonkman (Greg), Angela K. Tuller, Terry A. Bartilson (Dean), and Lindsey N. Eastwood; sister, Janice Wolf Lawler; grandchildren, Jeremy, Erin, Ashley, Aiden , Aaron, Alex, Anthony, and Mike; and 5 great grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 51 years, Norma “Jean” (McReynolds) Eastwood; stepfather, John Crenshaw; and grandson, Brandon.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery where the American Legion Kapperman Post #44 will perform military rites.
Friends may visit from 12:30 p.m. until service time, Friday, December 26, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
