James W. "Jim" Wilson

James W. “Jim” Wilson, age 93, of Chandler, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Home.

Jim was born September 10, 1927, in McClean County, KY, to Forest Wilson and Mamie (Corum)Wilson. He was the owner of J & D Transmission Service. James loved fishing with his son in-law, Larry and tending to his vegetable garden.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Carol Cates (Larry) and Rev. Wilma Kirk; son, John Ball (Linda); sisters, Cathern Reynolds and Hazel Clark (Frank); brother, Alfred Wilson; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 50 years, Daisy M. (Baughn) Wilson; daughter, Irene Payne; grandsons, Larry and Donnie Payne; and three brothers. He is also preceded in death by his beloved dog & companion for 16 years, Bear.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 14, 2020, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
