James E. "Jack” Goodwin, 79, of Newburgh, died at 10:18 p.m. Friday at Woodlands Convalescent Center.
He retired as project manager with Dravo Corp. He was field supervisor for reconstruction of Newburgh Locks and Dam. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member oi Bethel Temple.
He was a member of American Legion, Reserve Officers Association, Retired Officers Association, Disabled American Veterans, Dravo Seniors of Pittsburgh, Elks Club, and University of Evansville Purple Aces Club.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Mary; a daughter, Barbara Ann Verley of Newburgh; and a son, James Stewart Goodwin of Indianapolis.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Boone Funeral Home — East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave., the Rev R.R. Schwambach officiating, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
