James "Jim" Edward Price, age 87, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
Jim was born March 11, 1938, in Clinton, IN, to Jabez and Maude (Sims) Price. He retired from Aramark in 2003 after 40 years of dedication. Jim loved his family, fishing, playing games, and teasing. He had an insatiable love of junk food. Most importantly, Jim loved God and was a faithful servant.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Pearl (Herrick) Price; daughters, Denise Hudson (Bob) and Darlene Petty; grandchildren, Jen Turpen (Jim), Lilly Riddle, Michael Petty, James Petty (Sarah), and Jonathon Hudson; great granddaughter, Hazel Anne; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-laws, Arnold and Jean Herrick; infant son, George Edward; son-in-law, James Petty; 12 siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Mitch Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
