Jan Paul Brazelton, age 88, of Lewisport, KY, passed away January 24, 2026, at Heartland Villa Center in Lewisport, KY.
Jan was born May 31, 1937, in Evansville, IN, to James And Ruth (Skelton) Brazelton. He graduated from Central High School in 1956. Jan was a veteran of the Air Force. He served his country in Vietnam as an hydraulics supervisor. Jan was a member of the VFW Post 2953, Charles Denby Post.
Jan is survived by his wife, Carolyn (King) Brazelton; daughters, Lisa Clayton (Brad), Cindy Adkins (Steve) and Annette Kruger; son, Timothy Bratcher; sister, Karen Blisset (Mike); grandchildren, Sarah Harris (Jake), David Clayton (Julie), Amanda Loesch (Scott), Acacia Conley (Bill), Cesiley Bartley (Josh), Skyla Hodskins, Vanessa Cox (Brody), Jessica Adkins, Hannah Adkins, Jonathon Bratcher, and Bryan Bratcher; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Jan is preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard Brazelton; and brother, Robert Holeman.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 30th, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Jeffrey Maysey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 30th, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
