Jerry W. Haywood

Jerry W. Haywood, age 84, of Evansville, IN, went home to be with the Lord at 2:10 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021, at home, surrounded by his family.

Jerry was born December 12, 1936, in Equality, IL, to Wilbur H. and Dollie Martha (Wiedeman) Haywood. He graduated from Edison High School in Lake Station, IN, and he was a 31-year member of Bethel Temple. Jerry retired as a sales manager with Mutual of Omaha Insurance in 1999. He loved the Lord most of all, and he also loved his family, all people, bird hunting, fishing, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Judith (Wynne) Haywood; daughters, Sherry McDonald (Dan), Karen Haywood, and Jannyne Hagerman (Tom); sons, Michael Haywood and Jeffrey Haywood (Michelle); sisters, Maxine Russell and Loveda Goodman; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Dollie Haywood; and brothers, William Haywood and Paul Haywood.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor David Schwambach officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
