Jesse F. Stock, Jr.

Jesse F. Stock Jr., age 87, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at River Pointe Healthcare in Evansville, Indiana.

Jesse was born September 23, 1938, in Evansville, Indiana, to Jesse F. Stock, Sr. and Miriam (Imboden) Stock. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1956. Jesse served in the United States Air Force Reserve. He attended the University of Cincinnati where he was a Sigma Phi Epsilon. As part of the college curriculum, he participated in a 5 year work study program at Whirlpool. After college, Jesse joined his father with the Jesse F. Stock Insurance Agency and succeeded his father as president. He was a long time member and past president of the Indiana Independent Insurance Agents. He was very active in the community, having been involved with Jaycees, Rotary International, and the Evansville Triplets. Jesse was a former member of the Evansville Country Club where he enjoyed golfing. He also enjoyed traveling, going on cruises. He attended the Indy 500 for many years. Jesse was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Jesse is survived by his sister, Carol McAvoy (Don); nephews, Patrick McAvoy (Emily), Christopher McAvoy (Debra Gohr), Timothy McAvoy (Katie); 7 great nieces and nephews; good friend and caregiver, Jo Zausch; and longtime friends and caregivers, Barbara and Vince Taylor.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife, Jo Anne (Key) Stock.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Nancy Nichols officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn Mausoleum.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
