Jimmie Daniel Lee Walker, Sr., age 80, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, May 2nd, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmie was born February 10th, 1945, in Central City, KY, to Bennie F. and Mossie M. (Majors) Walker. He graduated from Bremen High School in 1962. Jimmie retired from being a tool and dye maker at Royster’s Machine Shop in Henderson, KY after 20 years of service.
Jimmie enjoyed going to the Casino and playing his favorite slot machines, Loved eating out with family, working outside in his shop, sitting on the back porch listening to music, feeding his beloved birds, and spending time with his buddy, Bones. Most of all, Jimmie loved making memories with his granddaughter and best friend, Kaylee Walker and her fiancé, Glenn Vandever, III aka Sweetpea. During the last seasons of his life, Jimmie loved watching The Game Show Channel, playing his favorite games Yatzee and Rummy!
He is survived by his son, Jimmie Walker, Jr. and wife Jacquelyn; daughters, Karen Stilwell and Sheila De Armond; brother, Robert Walker; beloved granddaughter, Kaylee Walker and grand Son-In-Law, Glenn Vandever III.; a total of 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 40 years, Patsy D. (Durbin) Walker; and siblings, Sunday Piper, Doug Walker, and William Walker; and grandson, Daniel Lorenz.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 6,2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Entombment will be at Park Lawn Mausoleum.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
