Joan Arleen (Johnson) Fardig, age 80, of Boonville, IN, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown.
Joan was born August 8, 1945, in San Francisco, CA, to Albert William and Edna Ann (Wagner) Johnson. She graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco in 1963. On February 18, 1967, she married the love of her life, Clyde Fardig. Joan was a loving and devoted mother who spent her time at home with her children. When her grandchildren came along, she moved to Boonville to be closer to them. She loved crafting and was especially gifted at sewing. Joan was a member of Townsend Bible Church for 15 years.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Clyde Fardig; daughter, Athena Rae Peace (Lloyd); son, Matthew William Fardig (Caroline); sister, Lois Gregor-Partsch; and grandchildren, Julia Rachelle Peace, Jessica Michelle Peace, Jacob Lloyd Peace, Lucas John Peace, William Matthew Fardig, and Elizabeth Rebecca Fardig.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bill Johnson.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1400 E Virginia St. Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Ron David officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
