Joan (Lambert) Riley

Joan (Lambert) Riley, age 90, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family.

Joan was born March 24, 1931, in Evansville, IN, to James and Georgia (Mabrey) Lambert. She graduated from Central High School and worked briefly as a Real Estate Broker. Joan was a member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her church knitting group as well as traveling, reading, and spending time with her cat, Tom. Joan especially loved her family. We celebrate a life well lived.

Joan is survived by her 3 children, Rick Riley (Rhonda), Mike Riley (Terri), and Shannon Riley Stigleman (Scott); 7 grandchildren, Erin (Sean), Kelsea (Hunter), Hannah, Cole (Clara), Laurin (Scott), Ellen, and Sarah (Kyle); and 10 great-grandchildren.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents, James and Georgia Lambert; loving husband of 59 years, Donald “Gene” Riley, who passed away in 2015; brothers, Richard Lambert and John Lambert; and sister, Elizabeth Harms.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Heritage Hospice for a week of wonderful care.

Private Graveside Services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, Evansville, IN.
