Joanne C. (Grace) Jackson

Joanne C. (Grace) Jackson, age 91, of Evansville, IN, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Heart to Heart Hospice Inpatient Center.

Joanne was born July 26, 1931, in Lucerne, KY, to Henry P. and Edith W. (Waggoner) Grace. She graduated from the Old Central High School in 1949 and was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. Joanne started out as a Secretary and worked her way up to Plant Manager Administrator for Kraft Foods before retiring. She loved reading, was a crossword wiz, and enjoyed her annual family reunion cookouts in Greenville, KY. Joanne especially enjoyed being part of Old Central High School Graduates’ Social Club that consisted of five ladies who met every month from high school days to nursing home days.

Joanne is survived by her sons, Jerry Jackson and Jim Jackson (Shannon); grandchildren, Jennie Simpson, Jayce Jackson (Kari), Jacob Jackson, and Brian Lett (Connie); 5 great grandchildren; and long-time companion, William Mulvey.

Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edith Grace; and brother, Gordon O’Dell Grace.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Chaplain Scott Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
