John Richard Blesch, age 80, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, at River Pointe Health Campus.
John was born March 18, 1945, in Evansville, IN, to Emerson Richard and Betty Matilda (Saighman) Blesch. He was a 1963 Bosse High School Graduate who owned and operated Big John’s Auto Parts Store for 12 years. He loved working on cars, having done so since he was 18 years old. John later worked at Red Spot Paint for 23 years before retiring in 2011. John enjoyed meeting people, and he was very loyal to his friends. He loved going to Drag Races with his friends in their homemade Winnebago.
John is survived by his daughters, Julie Blesch, and Jennifer Dennison (Steve); stepdaughters, Tammy Johnson (Kevin), Tracie Bartlett, and Jennifer Rogers (Mike); 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 25 years, Barbara S. (Clark) Blesch, who passed away in 2020; and his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Paul Eason officiating. Burial will be Private in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
