Jon Dauble Obituary

Jon Alan Dauble, age 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 28, 2024 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He spent his last days surrounded by his family whom he loved dearly.

Jon was born February 1, 1956 in Evansville, IN to the late Gerald and Janet Dauble. He graduated from William Henry Harrison High School in 1974 and attended the University of Evansville. From a young age, Jon enjoyed working at the family businesses, Dauble’s Flowers and Zeidler’s Flowers, during busy holiday seasons. He worked in the insurance field and financial services industry for most of his adult life. Jon married Cheryl in 1979, and together they had three children. He was a member of Crossroads Christian Church for many years and remained life-long friends with several members of his Bible study group. Jon was a partner at Dauble+Worthington Capital Management for over a decade. For the past several years, Jon joyfully served the Kairos Prison Ministry in both Evansville, IN and Knoxville, TN.

Jon enjoyed watching basketball and football games. He loved spending time with his cherished grandchildren, especially riding roller coasters and wild rides with them. Jon will be remembered for his ability to make friends anywhere, comedic story-telling, and sharing the Gospel with others. He was also an avid reader and rejoiced in studying the Bible. He found great solace in Philippians 1:21, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Jon is survived by Cheryl (Haire) Dauble; son, Joshua Dauble (Joy); son, Jordan Dauble; daughter, Jaclyn Worthington (John); granddaughters, Reagan and Rose Worthington; grandsons, Julian Dauble and Ryan Worthington; sister, Jan Wiggers (Thomas); brother-in-law, Robert Mackay; and many nieces and nephews.

Jon is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Janet Dauble; and sister, Jayne MacKay (Robert).
