Joyce C. (Plank) Miller

Joyce C. (Plank) Miller, age 87, of Newburgh, IN, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Hamilton Pointe.

Joyce was born January 28, 1933, in St. Louis, MO, to James R. Plank and Anna M. (Street) Plank. She graduated from Southwest High School of St. Louis in 1951.  Joyce taught Sunday School, and volunteered at First Baptist Church in Affton, MO. When she lived in Bowling Green, KY, Joyce was an avid choir member at First Baptist Church. More recently, she was a member of Crossroads Christian Church where she enjoyed being part of the Senior Adult Ministry.  She enjoyed crafting, talking on the phone and volunteering at church. Joyce was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family.   

Joyce is survived by her husband of 61 years, W.L. Miller; daughter, Julie Tron (Steve); brother in-law, Dale Pewitt; grandchildren, William Tron and Michael Tron; and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna Plank; and sister, Betty Pewitt.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Jason Davis officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
