Juanita “Edie” (Adams) Moore

Juanita “Edie” (Adams) Moore, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 15, 2026.  Edie was born on May 3,1939, in Cadiz, Kentucky to Troy and Ora Monaco (Gordon) Adams.  She graduated from Cadiz High School in 1957 and married her high school sweetheart, Don Moore.  Together they shared 64 wonderful years of marriage and ministry.

Edie lived a life beautifully defined by her unwavering faith. A dedicated servant of God, she spent her quiet hours immersed in reading her Bible, drawing deep strength, wisdom and joy from the scriptures.  Her love for the Lord was the steadfast foundation of her life, and she extended His grace and sweet kindness to everyone she met.  She always had a beautiful smile on her face that spread to whoever was around her.  She also had a delightful keen sense of humor.

Edie was a faithful and devoted partner in Don’s lifelong ministry, serving alongside him and behind the scenes with grace, compassion and dedication.  She married a bold personality, but she was the quiet one, the sweet kind spirit, supporting him throughout their spiritual journey together.  Edie had the purest heart, always knowing the right thing to say to guide or comfort your heart.  Edie was one of the most giving and unselfish people you would ever meet.

She was a deeply loving mother and an immensely proud grandmother who cherished every single moment spent with her grandkids.  Edie loved taking them to Disney and on many trips and adventures, while nurturing them into the adults they are today. She cherished every moment spent with her great-grandchildren, doing anything for any of them in a moment’s notice.  She loved to attend all their sporting events.  They were all the apple of her eye and brought great happiness to both her and Don.

Edie also had a passion for travel, adventure and outdoors.  She loved working in her yard.  All her neighbors and especially any kids or pets would get a smile, a wave and she would walk to the street to talk with them.  Along with Don and their dear friends, Ruth and Randall Drake, she rode motorcycles throughout all 50 states and across Canada.  Edie and Don completed a memorable motorcycle journey along the entire length of U.S. Highway 41, traveling from its northern terminus to its southern end.   They also traveled to 7 continents and 50 states.

Edie will be remembered for her unwavering faith, adventurous spirit, servant’s heart, and deep love for her family. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on through all who knew her and her family who adored her.

Edie is survived by her son, Terry Don (Cindy); Grandchildren, Chaise (Danielle) Moore, Mackenzie (Phil) Bennett; 7 Great Grandchildren, Carter, Mylee, Blaize and Zaine Moore; Sebastian, Edie June, and Baker Bennett.  9 step Great Grandchildren, 1 step Great-Great child.  Brother, Johnnie Adams; Sisters; Jean Glass, Millie Bryant, and Marty Brown.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 64 years, Bro. Don Moore; brother, Ronnie Adams; and half-sister, Jaqueline Hastings.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday June 24, 2026 at Boone Funeral Home East-Chapel.  A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave with Dr. Wayne Wester officiating.  Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026 and again from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
