Juda (Wild) Embry, 81, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital.
She was born on October 25, 1940, in Evansville, IN, to Harold Wild and Frances (Hall) Bastin.
Juda retired from the Roofer’s Local 106 where she served as the secretary. She loved being outdoors working in her yard. She spent time with her family and snuggling with her dog Harley. Juda was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the VFW Post 2953. She and her husband enjoyed being at their river camp each year and hosting gatherings for their friends and their family. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. Each summer she looked forward to going to the Ellis Racetrack and sitting by the river to watch the boats pass by.
She is survived by her daughters, Shelly Miller (Terry) and Kelly Holmes (David); grandchildren, Madison Horton, Daniel Driskill (Dwan), Dawn Stuart (Steve), Justin Driskill (Amber), Amanda Ng (Bill), Michael Miller (Cheyenne), Jessica Holmes and Craig Holmes(Colby); and great-grandchildren, Trinton Clark, Haeden Stuart, Laythen Driskill, Maverick Driskill, Trey Burns, Lyndsey Burns, Hannah Miller, Isabell Ng and Emelia Ng.
Juda is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Shelby Embry; infant son, Ronald Embry; father, Harold Wild; mother, Frances Bastin; step-father, Glynn Bastin; mother-in-law, Dorothy Ellis; and brother Maurice (Trick) Wild.
Private Services will be held at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Entombment will be in Oak Hill Mausoleum.
