Judith Ann (Moore) Buttrum, age 81, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 18, 2025, at her home.
Judith was born May 28, 1944, in Van Wert, Ohio and grew up in Robinson, Illinois. Judith graduated from the Deaconess School of Nursing in 1965 and dedicated her life to caring for others through her profession and her kindness.
On September 4, 1965, she married Charles Buttrum, with whom she shared 22 years of marriage until his passing on March 11, 1988. In the years that followed, she found love and companionship with Gary Jeffers, with whom she shared the last 25 years of her life. Together, Judith and Gary enjoyed traveling across the country and making countless memories.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Katheryn Jane (Gamble) Moore; her stepmother, Betty Moore; and her husband, Charles Buttrum.
She is survived by her partner, Gary Jeffers; her sons, David Buttrum (Kelly) and Doug Buttrum; her grandchildren, Mallory Treadway (Jackson) and Drew Buttrum (Patricia); her great-granddaughter, Olivia Treadway; and her brother, Kim Moore (Liz).
Funeral Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery.
