Judy Peak Obituary

Judith G. “Judy” (LaRoe) Peak, age 85, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Judy was born March 6, 1940, in Evansville, IN, to Raymond L. and Frances (Vaal) LaRoe. She graduated from Bosse High School and earned her Associate’s Degree from Lockyears Business College. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church since 1952, and she retired from Mead Johnson in 1994 after many years of serving as an Executive Secretary. Judy was a Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile with ISIS Temple, and she enjoyed bowling, needlepoint, making crafts, and reading. Judy especially loved spending her time with her cat, Pixie.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Paula Brinkmeyer (David); grandchildren, Austin Peak, Jenna Sams (Travis), Noah Peak (Ashley), Jill Schapker (Nolan), and Nicholas Peak; and great grandchildren, Jaelin, Carter, Maebry, Evelyn, and Jaxson.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Bernadine LaRoe; husband of 49 years, Chester B. Peak, who passed away in 2021; and son, Christopher Peak.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday,  October 22, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Cliff Herring officiating. A final tribute will also be conducted by the Isis Temple Daughters of the Nile during the service. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Wednesday,  October 22, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
