Judy G. Wilson, age 72, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Heart to Heart Hospice House.
Judy was born July 3, 1951, in Evansville, IN, to the late Edward Jenkins and Gladys P. (Saddler) Jenkins. She graduated from Harrison High School. Judy worked at Indiana Bell and in accounting at Kmart. She was the Horseman’s bookkeeper at Ellis Park and worked assembly at Collis Manufacturing before retiring. She volunteered at McGary Middle School concessions stand and Harrison High School band concessions stand. Judy helped with fundraising at Supreme Athletics. She was a very involved grandmother, who attended all of her grandchildren’s activities, including cheer, baseball and band.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Terry Wilson; daughter, Michele Hernandez; sister, Paula Jennings (Jerry); nieces, Krista Burks (Dustin), Jessica McClure, and Sierra Nelson; nephews, Casey Wilson and Walter Wilson; grandchildren; Matthew Jade Hernandez and Maria Oliva Hernandez; and many great nieces and nephews.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents; son, Matthew Wayne Wilson; sister, Barbara Wilson; and brother Roger Nantz.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2024, at Vann Avenue Baptist Church, 2608 Vann Avenue, with Reverend Dr. Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue and again from 9:00 a.m. until service time Friday, May 10, 2024 at Vann Avenue Baptist Church.
