Julia E. (Deffendahl) Naab

Julia E. (Deffendahl) Naab, 57, of Evansville, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

She retired in 1999 from Evansville Christian School as a kindergarten teacher after 25 years. She also taught at Caze and Culver schools.

She was a 1961 graduate of Bosse High School and a 1965 graduate of the University of Evansville, where she received her master’s degree.

She was a 27-year member of Bethel Temple. She enjoyed traveling, paint­ing, fishing and reading.

Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Frederick L.; and two daughters, Jodi Catt of St. Mary’s, Ga., and Lori DeBoer of Evansville.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Revs. R.R. and David Schwambach officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Ceme­tery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
