K. Suzann "Suzy" Blesch Obituary

K. Suzann “Suzy” Blesch, age 73, of Evansville, IN, passed away November 13, 2025, at IU Health University Hospital.

Suzy was born December 14, 1951, in Evansville, IN to Robert Lee and Emma Jean (Oliver) McBride. Suzy attended Bosse High School, graduating with the Class of 1969.

Suzy was a woman of deep faith and was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church.

Over the years, she explored several professional paths, each reflecting her strong work ethic and ability to connect with people. She first worked as a server at Pete’s Supper Club before becoming a successful real estate agent throughout the 1970s. In 1985, she founded Nick Nackery, a beloved local business she built with creativity and heart. Suzy proudly operated the store for more than three decades, retiring in 2021 to spend more time with her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

Suzy’s personal interests were as rich and varied as her personality. She cherished time with her family and especially loved making memories with her grandchildren. She enjoyed relaxing with friends over chips, salsa, and margaritas, and she had a deep love for animals—often serving as a long-term foster home for the Vanderburgh Humane Society. An avid reader with a special passion for U.S. history and politics, Suzy frequently volunteered for political campaigns, served as a delegate, and advocated for causes close to her heart.

She also enjoyed TV and movies, trying new foods, and sharing her talent for baking and cooking. A special treat she rarely turned down was a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

Suzy will be remembered for her compassion, her sharp wit, her strong convictions, and her unwavering love for those around her. Her family, friends, and community will miss her dearly.

Suzy is survived by her sons, Nicholas Blesch Clark (and Christina Clark), Spencer Blesch (and Andrea Blesch) and Clayton Blesch; step daughters, Misty Gann (and John Gonzalez) , Tammy Moore (and Sean Moore) and Lori Todd (and Danelle Barnes); brother, Steven McBride (and Trudy Gilette); grandchildren, Darcy, Oliver, Sagan, Luna, Anthony, Brittney, Courtney, Jeremy, Opal, Desi, Melissa and Jeremiah; and great grandchildren, Zoey, Cameron, Natalie and Kael.

Suzy is preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee McBride; mother and step father, Jean and Al Schumacher; brother, David McBride; and grandson, DJ.
