Karyle K. (Kleitz) Scheessele, age 74, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
Karyle was born December 9, 1950, in Evansville, IN, to the late Carl and Wilma (Harty) Kleitz. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1967, and she earned both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Evansville. Karyle taught 1st and 3rd Grades at Caze, Tompkins, and West Terrace Schools over 34 years. She had a passion for teaching and had a special way with the children. In 2001, she retired from EVSC. In her younger years, she was always dressed to the nines – hair and nails done and matching head to toe. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping. Karyle loved her husband, Fred; they were inseparable. Their favorite thing to do together was taking vacations on sunny beaches.
Karyle was survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, P. Fred Scheessele; 4-legged children, Karley and Zak; and a host of loving cousins.
Karyle was preceded in death by her parents; and 4-legged children, Muff, J.P., Samantha, and Cassie Hope.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Father Ted Tempel officiating. Burial will be in St. Rupert’s Catholic Cemetery, Yankeetown, IN
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
