Kathy Jean (Gray) Medcalf, age 74, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at Linda E. White Hospice House.
Kathy was born December 23, 1949, in Evansville, IN, to Russell and Helynn “Greta” (Pirtle) Gray. She attended Bosse High School and was a former member of Heritage Baptist Church. Kathy helped sandblast the Rainbow Bridge in Orange, TX. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling to the beach, singing and listening to country music, and hanging out with friends.
Kathy is survived by her sons, Kelly Gibson, Jason Gibson, and Jeff Gibson (Kayla); sister and caregiver, Connie Brown; brother, Rusty Gray (Lori); 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Greta Gray; son, Mark Gibson; grandson, Trenton Gibson; sister, Shelly Melton, who passed away in 2018; nephew, Aaron Gray; and infant great granddaughter, Nevaeh Dillon.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, July 19, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
