Katie E. (Cox) Lemaster

Katie E. Lemaster, age 97, of Evansville, IN, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at Protestant Home.

Katie was born March 21, 1928, in Daviess County, KY, to James and Mary Cox. She worked for the Evansville State Hospital for over 20 years. Katie loved creating ceramics and spending time with family in her free time.

Katie is survived by her son, Keith (Kim) Nash; brother, James (Elizabeth) Cox; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Katie is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lemaster; daughter, Phyllis Keller; sisters, Marie Edmonds and Barbara Hall; brothers, Otis and Clifton Cox; step-brothers, Paul, Donald, and Gaylord Westerfield; and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN, with Pastor Jeremy Seger officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
