Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Adcock, age 87, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at The Village at Hamilton Pointe.
Kenny was born June 18, 1936, in Earlington, KY, to Melvin Adcock and Charlotte (Page) Adcock. He graduated from Central High School in 1954, where he met his wife, Dixie. Kenny and Dixie were married on June 13, 1957. Together, they owned and operated AAA Delivery Service. Kenny enjoyed racing Harley Davidson Motorcycles with his brother, fishing and Donut Bank coffee. His biggest passion was singing country music. Kenny formed several bands and he sang with the Kimberley’s. Music was his life, but above all, his true love was his family. Kenny was an angel with one wing in the fire.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dixie (Beadles) Adcock; daughter, Robyn Mastison (Jim); sister, Starla Clayton (Steve); godchild, Troy Clayton; favorite niece, Julie Morgan; grandchildren, David Mastison (Amanda) and Krystal Hebbeler (Greg); 5 great grandchildren, Jordyn (Bradin), Mykah, Hayden, Gage and Camillus; and son, Gary Adcock and his family.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Charlotte Adcock; brother, David Adcock; and lifelong friend, Jerry Wingerter.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Terry Gamblin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
