Kevin J. Swank

Kevin J. Swank, age 69, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at home.

Kevin was born November 4, 1951, in Wabash, IN, to the late Leslie and Carol Jo (Ferdinand) Swank. He graduated from Wabash High School in 1969 and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Indiana State University. Kevin was a past member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and he most recently attended Blue Grass United Methodist Church. He retired as a Photo Journalist and Photo Editor from the Evansville Courier & Press after 35 years of service. Kevin enjoyed photography, and he loved being Santa and spending time with his grandkids.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Sue (Merrick) Swank; children, Randy Dennison, Jr. (Lenn Stein), Robin Redmon (Russell), Richard Dennison (Beth), and Sean Swank (Nicole); he was “Crappa” to his grandchildren, Jeremiah Hope (Allyce), Jasmine Kyle (Colton), Merrick Barker, Briana Redmon, and Natalie Meyer; great grandsons, Myles Hope, Knox Hope; great granddaughter on the way, Rhylee Hope; several brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 28, 2021, at Locust Hill Cemetery, 3800 Kratzville Road, Evansville with Pastor Doug Heiman officiating.
