Kum Song (Kim) Rogers, age 81, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at Envive of Evansville.
Kim was born July 27, 1942, in Seoul, South Korea. She met Calvin while he was stationed in Korea. They married and she moved to the United States in 1974 where she reared her two children. Kim was of the Buddhist Faith. She retired as cook from Envive of Evansville. Kim enjoyed cooking for her friends and family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Kim is survived by her son, Ted Rogers (Sharita) of Gahanna, OH; brothers, Kim Chin Te; grandchildren, Alexander Yeakel Rogers, Xavier Rogers, and Jazmine Rogers; and great grandson, River Maier.
Kim is preceded in death by her father, Kim Kyung Pyoon; husband of 20 years, Calvin T. Rogers, who passed away in 1994; and daughter, Barbra Rogers, who passed away in 2022.
Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN. Burial will be Private.
Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
