Kurt E. Tyler

Kurt E. Tyler, age 58, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

Kurt was born January 9, 1968, in Evansville, IN, to Charles Edward Tyler and Nikki Tyler Hart. He graduated from Central High School. Kurt worked at Wolf’s Bar-B-Q for 20 years. He was an avid sports fan. Kurt followed the St. Louis Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, North Carolina Tarheels, and Chicago Bulls. He loved cooking and grilling for family and friends.

Kurt is survived by his mother, Nikki Hart; stepfather, James Hart; fiancé, Mindy Hoehn; daughters, Nicole Helm (J’juan) and Azarie Tyler (Malcolm); son, Andreas Tyler (Ciara); sisters, Jennifer Hart, Danielle Hart, and Tina Tyler; brothers, Eric Williams (Brandi), Kevin Tyler, and Darryl Tyler; and several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Kurt is preceded in death by his father, Charles Tyler; and brothers, Mark Tyler and Terry Tyler.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Reid Schultheis officiating.

Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2026, and again from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
