Larry Dale Keel, age 78, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville.
Larry was born April 19, 1947, in Princeton, KY, to Ira Lacy and Lottie Belle (Patterson) Keel. He was a member of FaithWay Baptist Church. He worked in farming after high school, and he made a career as a Truck Driver with Staub Excavating. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing. More recently, he loved listening to Southern Gospel Music, especially the Tribute Quartet, who became special friends through the years.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Kathy Marie (Freels) Keel; daughters, Lori Rittenbery (David) and Stacy Ellison (Virgil); grandchildren, Corey Keel (Morgan), Jeremy Rittenbery (Haley), Justin Rittenbery (Tessa), and Faith Adams; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Lacy Jayne Hillyard (Tommy); and beloved dog, Bella.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky Dale; and siblings, Mildred Shumaker (Rufus), Dorothy June Morse (Wade), David Keel (Sue), Glen Keel (Agnes), and Joyce Tandy (Charles).
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025, at FaithWay Baptist Church, 3635 Pollack Avenue, Evansville, IN, with Pastor Stephen Russ officiating. Burial will be Private.
Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, November 1, 2025, at FaithWay Baptist Church.
