Larry L. Nelson

Larry L. Nelson, age 80, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at River Pointe Health Campus.

Larry was born May 30, 1945, in Bremen, KY, to Felix and Mary (Vincent) Nelson. He worked for Coca-Cola for 37 years and for Walt’s Drive Away for 20 years. Larry was a very simple man. He enjoyed mowing his yard ‘just right’ and car shopping. Larry looked forward to big family gatherings at Thanksgiving and Christmas. He loved his family more than anything, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He made it a point to be at every ballgame he could. Larry will be dearly missed and always remembered for his long goodbyes.

Larry is survived by his sons, Scott Nelson (Jamie) and Mark Nelson (Michelle); grandchildren, Breeana Miracle (Shawn), Alex Nelson, Hannah Ficther (Alex), Chase Nelson (Leah), and Cameron Nelson; great grandson, Grayson Miracle; and one great grandchild on the way.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Patricia (Wallace) Nelson; and 10 siblings.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026, at First Southern Baptist Church, 25 South Cullen Avenue, Evansville, IN 47715 with Pastor David Cullison officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Mausoleum.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, February 21, 2026, at First Southern Baptist Church.
