Larry Overton

Larry Overton, age 69, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Transcendent Healthcare of Boonville South.

Larry was born December 17, 1956, in Phoenix, AZ, to Gene and Lorena (Chambers) Overton. He graduated from Union High School in Duggar, IN in 1975 and graduated from Columbia State University with an Associate’s Degree in electrical engineering. Larry retired from Alcoa in 2021 as a control supervisor.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Marsha (Skinner) Overton; stepdaughter, Jennifer Myers (David); stepson, Jeffrey Overton (Bridgett); sisters, Diana Enochs and Connie Weaver; grandchildren, Zachary, Ethan, Ryne, and Jacob; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Carl Overton and Donald Overton.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Carlise, IN.

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
